... that of course I've fallen in love with and am trying to adopt. As much as the huge bastard will allow me to. Got a vet appointment tomorrow morning for a developing abscess and shots, etc... I actually went and got a feline sedative for him cause I know it'll be a fight otherwise.
Wish me luck.
Also, within 5 minutes tonight he ate his food and then went and nabbed a house finch in the backyard. Ate the entire thing. Right in front of me. Like, scarfed it down whole...
I think I'll talk to the vet about dewormer too.

Re: Got a neighborhood stray...
Wed, March 25, 2009 - 9:54 PMThe Beast is fine now. Maybe more that should be allowed. He didn't have an abscess really after all but another type of internal infection from the puncture wound. They gave him big ole' steroid shot and then strong antibiotics afterwards in pill form, which was great fun to get him to swallow later throughout the week.
Actually, even though he almost clawed/ate through the carrier getting there he was a pretty good patient once I had him out in the open. All the vets made much of his size and beauty, and he probably has a much bigger head now as a result.
Great. Stoke his ego. -
