Hi everyone. I've been doing the raw diet for a number of years now and try to keep current on new info. I basically do recipe 1 but use buffalo, venison or beef all with heart and liver. (The boys prefer those to chicken or turkey…) Anyways, I was wondering about the correct Vitamin number for beef liver. I had been using 35346 IU/100g. However, the USDA figure is now 16898 IU/100g. Dose anyone know which is correct, or am I missing something in the USDA info? There is no information that I have found for venison or buffalo organs, so I have just used the beef numbers for everything. Thanks.

I just googled it, and I see some pages reporting one figure, and some reporting the other. So you are not crazy. But I have not found any explanation of the difference. I wonder if there is anyone at the USDA that could answer that.
