I know moist food is supposed to be better but mine won't eat it! Well, the older one will sometimes but the younger one wants nothing to do with it. I've tried Merrick, Natural Balance, and recently, a Newman's Own one. They eat Innova Evo dry. Do you think I should just stick with that or keep potentially losing money on this canned food experiment?

Re: Cats won't eat canned food
Fri, February 20, 2009 - 3:20 PMI feel your pain! I have a cat that used to completely snub canned food. There are quite a few threads in this tribe on how to bribe them into eating it. I'll bump them up for you. -

Fri, February 20, 2009 - 8:48 PMthe gradual introduction method is good, and easier on their lil' tummies.
also you can try sprinkling a little nutritional yeast on the wet food as a bribe. most cats love it.

Re: Cats won't eat canned food
Sun, August 16, 2009 - 1:46 PMYou may have to start out with a junk canned food like Fancy Feast. They have many different selections to choose from so you can find out what your cats like. I had a cat that almost died from crystals in his bladder and we went through the same thing. He had been on an all dry diet and needed more moisture. We tried many different types of canned food and Fancy Feast was the only one he liked. It's not as good quality as the others you had mentioned but your cats are eating a high quality dry food so they are getting the nutrition they need. Good Luck!
